About Pastels by Susan
My Story
My journey into the world of art began in 2011. I enrolled in a drawing class where I learned to develop my artistic skills with guidance and practice. I was introduced to pastels and have continued on that path. My drawings focus mostly on animals and the elderly. I worked for 20 years in Physical Therapy with mostly geriatric patients. I have incorporated the elderly into many of my drawings. In addition, I am an avid supporter of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). That is where my passion lies and I try to reflect that in my art. I have also supported Muttville Senior Dog Rescue in San Francisco. I have completed a number of dog and cat portraits, but my passion lies in drawing animals in the wild.
At Pastels by Susan, my mission is to bring animals and people to life with my art. I aim to inspire and connect with my community by sharing the beauty of my artwork.
