About Pastels by Susan
My Story
My interest in the world of art began in 2011 when I enrolled in a drawing class. With guidance and patience, I began my journey into pastels. Now I endeavor to incorporate into that journey my two main passions: the elderly and animals. I worked in Physical Therapy with mostly geriatric patients for 20 years and feel a strong connection to that population. My other passion is animals. I am an avid supporter of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as well as Muttville Senior Dog Rescue of San Francisco. And while I have completed a number of portraits of dogs and cats, I also focus on animals in the wild. The mission of Pastels By Susan is to bring my two passions to life. I want to both inspire and connect with my community by sharing my art.
Examples of Matted Prints and Greeting Cards.
Any piece of artwork is available as a card, matted print or framed print. The cards come with an envelope and are $3 each. The matted prints are 5 x 7 in a 8 x 10 mat with backing. They are $15 each. Cards and matted prints are enclosed in cellophane. You may also purchase 5 x 7 prints in a matted 8 x 10 frame for $40. Message me at the bottom of this site for any requests.
